i do see a doctor to treat pain, but i get prescription and nothing else, i cannot workout at the gym, or exercise like i did in the past, im hopeless at this point as ive tried, chiropractic, decompression, strong pain meds, epidurals, nothing works, it getting worse as i have shooting nerve pain in my neck, hands, lower legs, ankles and get depressed, ive never heard of anyone fully recovering from this type of injury, im very worried. the sad thing is, the last 3 doctors that i have seen simply want to run up my bills to earn huge profits, ie. epidurals at 1600.00 each time, and one pain physician was arrested for improper contact with female patients, these doctors just want money, and to write scripts, im tired of the racket and want a SOLUTION!

Scoliosis back pain, painful sore spot, nothing helps, can’t take it!?

I am 30 years old and have mild scoliosis. I have never been in an accident, which most people assume. I have had pain in the upper right side of my back (between spine and shoulder blade there is a severely painful spot) and sometimes radiates to the right side of my neck for years. The painful area seems to coincide with where my spine curves out as seen on my xrays. Nothing has helped to treat this pain… massage, chiropractics, physical therapy, anti inflammatory drugs, strong pain meds, cortisone injections. I feel like I am going crazy sometimes from the pain. Most doctors only want to talk about lower back pain, but my lower back is fine. It’s just this one spot in my upper back about the size of a baseball. What could this be!!?? How can I possibly treat it? I want to rip the muscle out somtimes.
No, I don’t smoke or have any other medical issues. PT didn’t help at all before, but I might consider looking into it again. I just feel like I can do alot more at the gym by myself than a therapist can do for me. Making me lift 2 lb weights or use stretchy bands isn’t going to help.

Does anyone have an answer for chronic back pain?

My husband has a herniated disc. We have tried pain meds, cortisone shots and chiropractic therapy. None of them have worked. The pain has lasted for 3 months and we don’t know what else to do. Please, if you have tried something and it has worked, let me know!!!

So I’m a nanny (aka carrying a lot of kids) and recently I had some pretty bad lower back pain however no immediate trauma that may have caused this. This dull ache has been going on for at least a month probably more. I decided to see a chirpractor. He was such a nice guy, took time to go over what was bothering me and did some diagnosis. He performed a spinal analysis machine and discovered my right side carries 12 pounds more than my left which made total sense to me. Also using another handheld machine and handheld diagnosis that my neck had a lot of tension and that could be pinching my nerve and causing my headaches. The cost was only $35 dollars and I have another appoitment to go over costs, plan of action, etc. However, when I called my mom she was like oh that’s bull***t he just wants money, they’re quacks and doesn’t want to file to insurance. I believe in this however I’m in college, not financially set. Are they really quacks, can I even afford this, is it worth it
