What are some good solutions for back pain?
I have trouble with my L5/sacral joint and my SI joint shifting out of place. I have been doing chiropractic, but it just doesn’t seem to be helping. Any other ideas? This really hurts and Aleve isn’t doing anything.
pregnant with major back pain, how should I handle this?
I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and I am in horrible pain. I can’t get up easily, sitting down hurts walking hurts, anything physical really hurts. It’s my lower middle back that’s in pain but also shooting the pain throughout my hips. My TriCare Insurance does not cover chiropractic services. Should I go see my family doctor and see what he says, should I pay for chiropractic services on my own? Or should I go see a masseuse and hope that helps?
Other than chiropractic, what are the medical alternatives for treating chronic back pain?
Note: I respect chiropractic and understand that it can help for maintance of minor back pain/discomfort. I know this because I occasionally see a chiro for my back, and the adjustments feel good and clear up mild back/neck pain.
But a friend of mine has very severe back pain, and has had this for a long time. And although chiropractic has offered some relief, even after numerous visits, the pain has not diminished and continues to persist. So I’m curious to find out, what other alternatives are there for individuals with severe, chronic back pain? (other than simply popping pain killers, of course)
Acupuncture is out of the question, as insurance wont cover this service for them.
Thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks.
